The SFAC Hurricanes organization has a brief yet outstanding heritage. The Hurricanes are based in the new township of West Park, is located in West Hollywood, Florida. This is the organization's sixth year of existence and the future is always promising when youth is involved.

Over the years, the Hurricanes have placed at least one football team in the Xtreme league's Super Bowl. The Hurricanes have placed 4 teams, in 5 years, in the FedEx Orange Bowl.

This year our cheerleading squads (Lady Canes) placed 1st in the 135 lb division, 3rd in the 115 division and 3rd in the 80 lb. division.  Last year the Cheerleading (Lady Canes) Squads had 1- First Place, 2- Second Place, and 1-Third Place team winners in the Miami Xtreme League competition. In the same year we also had 3-First Place and 1-Third Place teams in the FedEx Orange Bowl competition.

The Hurricane are not just a one sport organization. In 2003 we implemented a baseball program. Knowing that our name sake, the University of Miami Hurricanes, had a rich tradition in baseball, we the SFAC Hurricanes had to "represent" on the youth level. We are very fortunate to have on our baseball staff a former University of Miami Hurricane baseball player, Clarence "Gully" Poitier. Coach Poitier's involvement in our baseball program gave us immediate credibility and respectability in the league. Our players bring the same level of passion that coach Poitier exhibited as an outstanding player for the U.M. in his playing days in the early 70's.

Our basketball and track programs began play in February and March respectively. Basketball was played in the Family Christian Association of American (FCAA) League. Our track teams participated in the South Florida 'Age' Group Track & Field. The hurricanes are now a year round youth organization.
